The XMesh protocol stack is an open-architecture, flexible, and powerful embedded wireless networking and control platform built on top of the TinyOS operating system. XMesh combines proven high-performance with interoperability thru the support of open standards including IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee. Crossbow publishes source-code for all layers of the networking stack written in TinyOS component form, and the TinyOS development tool chain is the de-facto standard for wireless sensor and embedded networking development, with well over one thousand development teams world-wide. Crossbow’s complete solution allows both OEMs and End-Users to cost effectively take advantage of the many man-years of development in TinyOS and XMesh low-power wireless networking technology.
